Registration for Middle School Sports Now Open

Tuesday, July 18, 2017 - 6:50pm

Registration is now open on the Flagler Sheriff's Police Athletic League Middle School Sports program!!! Information can be found at

At Tuesday evening's School Board meeting, members of the Board agreed unanimously to accept a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Flagler County Sheriff's Police Athletic League (PAL). The purpose of the MOU is to establish a sports program in our two middle schools. Flagler Sheriff's PAL will be in charge of the program and will provide coaches for the various sports.

James Tager, Superintendent of Flagler Schools says "I believe the partnership we've established with Flagler Sheriff's PAL is a great move for our students. Both students and parents have been calling for sports in our middle schools for years. We've heard those calls and have been trying to find the right opportunity to bring them back. I thank Sheriff Rick Staly and his staff, as well as Kim Hale and her tireless work with Flagler Sheriff's PAL to help make this a reality."

The following sports will be offered during the 2017-18 school year: Fall girl's volleyball, boy's wrestling, co-ed cross country; Winter boys and girls basketball; Spring boys and girls track and field; year-around cheerleading (Spirit Squad).

Additional information will come from Flagler Sheriff's PAL via the schools and their social media. There will also be additional information available at our annual Back To School Jam, July 29th at Flagler Palm Coast High School between 10am-1pm.
